Inventor, tinkerer, creator. I'm all these things, and I constantly learn from the creations, the inventions, and the tinkerings of others who've come before me. I live in awe of and am inspired by those creations, and of the things nature has provided.
I'm always fascinated by shapes of things -- how shadows cast against a stark background can create a new shape. How light reflecting off water can point out detail one might not otherwise see. Old buildings and bridges constantly capture my eye. Nature by itself inspires me in the same way. The lines of a structure, the flow of water. The the way the light filters through trees.
There's so much history in both the man-made and the nature-made. My artwork strives to capture the balance between the two.
